Mission Statement
The mission of the Junior Explorer program is to guide children to a better path for the future through leadership, teamwork and friendship. By assisting children to develop positive character traits, the Junior Explorer program will build a bridge between the Dallas Police Department and the youth in our communities. Developing the Junior Explorers’ physical and mental fitness will promote an active citizenship and enhance the child’s role and stake in the community.
Goal
The Dallas Police Department is committed to providing an opportunity for young people to have positive interaction with law enforcement. The Junior Explorer program offers a safe place to learn law enforcement techniques, leadership skills, value of community service and to help our youth avoid negative behaviors that would otherwise limit their future options.
Objectives
The Dallas Police Junior Explorer Program is designed to further the Junior Explorer’s education, encourage their participation in community service activities, and enhance their leadership roles as citizens as well as future law enforcement officers.
